About

I am a PhD history student at the university of Vienna. My research examines Britain and the Austro-Hungarian monarchy during the First World War, focusing specifically on the Adriatic Question.

Apart from history research, I am also a freelance journalist. I regularly contribute articles on culture, history and politics of Austria and other parts of Mitteleuropa, all of which you can find here.

In the summer of 2013, I was an assistant editor of the IWMpost, the official magazine of the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (Institute of Human Sciences) in Vienna.

My first peer review article on Istrian regionalism was published in 2017 by ´Der Donauraum´, the journal for the Vienna based Institut für Donauraum und Mitteleuropa.

In 2015, I finished working on a book chapter,´Italian plans for the Eastern Adriatic´ for the forthcoming book Der Erste Weltkrieg auf dem Balkan: Ereignis, Erfahrung und Erinnerung (The First World War in the Balkans-events, experience and memory) which was published in 2018. A link is available in the articles section, under ‘Italian plans for the Eastern Adriatic’.
